Yeahhh who skipped Christmas this yearrr haha this is my mom's favorite John Grisham - I've never read it but it sounds like 100% kid-friendly and fun - also hilarious. My 13yo sister read it and loved it too, so basically good for all ages. I haven't read it yet since it's still November (love that scheduled publishing life am I righttt) but I'm planning on it so this will change if I have. Anyweeeeoooo enjoioi

My opinion. Haven't seen it yet.

Watch The Million Pound Note (1954) Free Online 🎥

Length: 1hr 25m. Genre: Drama/Romance. Starring: Gregory Peck. Directed by Ronald Neame.

Synopsis. As part of a bet, two aristocrats offer a penniless American a loan, without telling him that the amount is £1,000,000 in the form of a single banknote. (IMDb)

My opinion. It's been awhile since I watched it, but from what I remember well, 1. it's forgettable evidently and 2. the ending was a little bit boring/unsatisfying, and a lot more simple and straightforward than I thought it was going to be. There wasn't really any catch, there wasn't much of a twist, it just kind of faded off into the end and there wasn't anything very memorable about it. But it's an easy watch, doesn't take much thinking.

Watch Jamaica Inn (1939) Free Online 🎥

Length: 1hr 40m. Genre: Crime/Thriller. Starring: Charles Laughton and Maureen O'Hara. Directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

Synopsis. After the death of her mother, young Mary (Maureen O'Hara) travels to the Cornish coast seeking her Aunt Patience (Marie Ney). Stranded on a windswept, isolated road, Mary meets Humphrey Pengallan (Charles Laughton), who kindly escorts her to the Jamaica Inn. There, Mary meets her aunt and bullying uncle, Merlyn Joss (Leslie Banks) -- who secretly leads a band of pirates that pilfers the goods from wrecked ships. Suspicious, Mary turns to Pengallan for help, only to discover another dark secret. (Google)

My opinion. Based off of Dauphne du Maurier's book of the same title, I haven't actually watched this because I want to read the book first.
