I got to these sites (some are apps, but you can access them all online like you would a site. You still have to sign up for all but YouTube - howeverrrr, I've been using Peacock, Pluto TV, Tubi TV, and IMDb TV for like a year and love each of them for the different things they offer so I'd say it was worth downloading or at least using the resources they provide).

My opinion. It's been awhile since I watched it, but from what I remember well, 1. it's forgettable evidently and 2. the ending was a little bit boring/unsatisfying, and a lot more simple and straightforward than I thought it was going to be. There wasn't really any catch, there wasn't much of a twist, it just kind of faded off into the end and there wasn't anything very memorable about it. But it's an easy watch, doesn't take much thinking.

Watch Jamaica Inn (1939) Free Online 🎥

Synopsis. After the death of her mother, young Mary (Maureen O'Hara) travels to the Cornish coast seeking her Aunt Patience (Marie Ney). My opinion. Based off of Dauphne du Maurier's book of the same title, I haven't actually watched this because I want to read the book first.

My opinion. This movie was so good. Not good like the later Hitchcocks are good, but considering that it was produced in the 40's, the quality is good, the acting is good, and the plot is superb. Very intense, very interesting, and a bit PG-13 because of the ending. It did end abruptly, but all's well that end's well and idrc if it's not as conclusive as other movies (like Vertigo, LOL).

Watch Gaslight (1940) Online Free 🎥

Length: 1hr 24m. Genre: Drama/Mystery. Starring: Diana Wynyard and Anton Walbrook. Directed by Thorold Dickinson.

Synopsis. Twenty years removed from Alice Barlow's murder by a thief looking for her jewels, newlyweds Paul (Anton Walbrook) and Bella Mallen (Diana Wynyard) move into the very house where the crime was committed. Retired detective B.G. Rough (Frank Pettingell), who worked on the Barlow case, is still in the area and grows suspicious of Paul, who he feels bears a striking resemblance to one of Barlow's relatives. My opinion. Hard to get into at first, because I felt like the acting was very 30's and a little bit too dramatic for my taste. However, as I watched (and got used to their accents), I started to enjoy it and feel both anger towards the dude and sympathy towards the lady. Plus it was better acting than I had originally thought, they both do a really good job and it makes me want to watch the 1944 movie starring Ingrid Bergman (and I would watch it except I can't find it free on YouTube - if I can find it free anywhere else for sure I'll 1. watch it and 2. post the link - if you don't mind forking over a whole $1, watch it on Amazon Prime). It did a good job at ramping up the tension and being creepy. You have doubts about everyone and whether anyone is up to any good, or at least up to what they're saying they're up to. Some parts it left unexplained* but it wrapped up nicely, all things considering. Probably a movie I'll re-watch in the future, but not for a while.

like 1) did he know about the rubies when he gave her the brooch? Probably not since he seemed shocked and wanted to get them back, but then why did he keep that one of all the things he had, and also why didn't he check each of the things he got from the murdered, to make sure none were hiding anything. 2) How did they get a warrant for his house when he hasn't done anything to break the law? Is British law different from American law? 3) Does Nancy know she's involved & sort of an agent for them? If so, why don't they say that? And if not, why is she being all pal-around with her boss? Is it only so she can get info out of him? Then why didn't her story wrap up with everyone else's? and I had a fourth but I can't remember it lol.

My opinion. Waste of time, but if your goal is to watch all Hitchcock films or just to watch this one then have at it but you won't like it.

My opinion. It was good, but a little bit hard to follow and a little bit clunky, klugy, and old-fashioned. Keep in mind that it was made in the 30's and maybe it'll be easier to watch. I still found it engaging, funny, and fun. The ending is what you'd expect, but then what Hitchcock isn't.

Warning: it has annoying subtitles that pop up every couple minutes, because they got it off some scam site but you get used to it so if you're desperate/cheap enough, you won't care.

Synopsis. Brandon and Philip are two young men who share a New York City apartment. They consider themselves intellectually superior to their friend David Kentley, and as a consequence, decide to murder him. (IMDb)

My opinion. A little bit gruesome at the beginning, but nothing gory and not for very long. One of my favorite movies, partially because it has some funny lines, partially because it makes me really want to throw a party, partially because the things they discuss at the end of the movie are fascinating, and last partially because it takes place in one setting and only had four cuts the entire movie - so basically just one continuous shot in one continuous location and I love that.

Watch Shadow of a Doubt (1943) Free Online 🎥

My opinion. I loved this movie, another early Hitchcock and it's excellent! Lots of suspense, lots of suspicion, and lots of close calls for everyone involved. I can't give a full review and nobody really cares what I think but have fun anyway.

My opinion. Ah man I love movies where people go undercover! This is pretty suspenseful and it was amazing to watch, I loved it. Don't rlly have anything to say tho bc I haven't watched it in like a year.

Watch Anastasia (1956) Free Online 🎥

Synopsis. My opinion. I haven't watched this in a super long while (sad), but I LOVED this movie the one time I watched it and I hope I'll have a chance to watch it again before the year is over but who knows when I'll have the time. It's definitely first class, one of the best old movies I've ever watched that's strictly romantic, another perfect movie when you're home alone on a cold, rainy night - especially if you're sick and tired and don't want to be scared or on the edge of your seat. It has such a sweet, perfect ending, too.

Watch Goodbye Again (1961) Free Online 🎥

My opinion. It's not a very plot-twist story, and it turns out the way you'd expect it to - plus it gets a bit less interesting in the second half. The beginning, though, is full of funny scenes, and Perkins is (as always) adorable and funny and awkward in the cute way. I love the beginning, and for the most part I was satisfied with the end - on the other hand, I just didn't connect with any of them (including Perkins) because I didn't find myself sympathetic towards them, and I didn't find them relatable (relatable in the story kind of way, not in the basic VSCO/Tumblr girl way) so I think that's why I didn't find the story line very compelling but it's a fun movie to watch and it's not scary at all. I watched it on a rainy night when I was sick with a sore throat and disgusting cold tea, home alone, waiting for everyone to get back from visiting relatives and it's a perfect movie for that kind of situation.
